Hokusai Manga Confrontation across a giant pestle

Volume XII, 1878 (later) edition.  Double-page diptych, each page with full margins, each image approx. 5" x 7".

No doubt a good story here, involving a huge and suggestive pestle.   A clear, soft print with good detail in tortoise-shell patterned cloth.  A little yellowing of the paper, mostly outside of image area.
